Sinners seek devotion.

SOLUTION

***
It is not a human right
To stare, not fight while broken nations dream
Open up our eyes, so blind
That we might find the mercy for the need

Hey now
Fill our hearts with Your compassion
Hey now
As we hold to our confession

It is not too far a cry
Too much to try to help the least of these
Politics will not decide if we should rise
And be Your hands and feet

Hey now
Fill our hearts with Your compassion
Hey now
As we hold to our confession

Whoa-oh-oh!
God, be their solution
Whoa-oh-oh!
We will be Your hands and be Your feet

Higher than our circumstance
Your promise stands, Your love for all to see
Higher than our protest lines and dollar signs
Your love is all we need

Only You can mend the broken heart
And cause the blind to see
You erase complete the sinner's past
And set the captives free
Only You can take the widow's cry
And cause her heart to sing
Be the Father to the fatherless
Our Saviour and our King

We will be Your hands
We will be Your feet
We will run this race for the least of these
In the darkest place we will be Your light
We will be Your light...

And we will be Your hands we will be Your feet
We will run, we will run
We will run with the solution

mashin' 'tayters...

Yo there! Hahahaha I don't know why but I really feel like blogging tonight. I'm waiting for the potatoes to boil up so I can peel 'em and mash 'em MUAHAHA! :D Our cellgroup is having a beach & barbeque outing tomorrow where we're gonna have super yummy stuff! Aren't ya'll just jealous? Yeah, Joyce certainly pampers her girls well. ;)

It's been an interesting week. It's the last one before all us students who have something to do (I'm talking to you bummers who're just doing nothing and waiting for uni :P) and suddenly everyone's just beginning to realize that school is round the corner and we've still got our unfinished assignments and for those in my school, we've got our 2nd assessment tests coming up a week after school starts. Wow! This year is halfway through, and it'll be coming to a close soon. That's just super fast! And there's the bunch of people who are heading for Sydney, Australia... Hillsongs conference! Totally awesome! :D the new album will be out then, too!

My mom just left for Singapore yesterday. She didn't know my holidays were 2 weeks, so therefore yeah... I couldn't make it. All's good though. If I did go, I'd miss an amazing service which we had at Acts today! I'll talk about that later. Anyway, about three/four in the afternoon I text-messaged her yesterday on how was her flight etc and she said she lost her luggage! Okay, truthfully I didn't really get shocked or reacted in any sort of way when she told me that. It was just like "Hmm okay" and I was thinking to myself, it's Singapore Airlines! They're sure gonna be able to track the person down. I mean, they're professional and all that jazz, right?

Well my mind was thinking this way, but something in my heart was telling me not to take things for granted. It was for the best, I believe, so I text-messaged my cellgroup leader and asked her to pray with me that all will be alright, 'cause the one bag that was left at the conveyor belt looked just like my mom's, but it was a different brand. So it couldn't have been a theft- it must've been an innocent mistake the other party had made. So I told my mom not to worry and just chill with her friends. She called me later that night and told me the airlines had still not yet contacted her, her luggage was still missing. She sounded okay, my mom's like that: she never reveals how she really feels as a shield to always show that she's tough and able. Cool huh? hahaha but in the afternoon, she texted me telling me that she found her stuff! WOO YEAH! I was really happy for her. I believe nothing was stolen either! Thank goodness for wholesome, honest people indeed! I told her that I'd be praying for her, and praise God, He answered our prayers.

RIGHT back to the service today! It was funfunfantastic! While giving her exhortation on tithes and offerings, Diana said something that really hit me- "We give to please God." Sounds really simple, doesn't it? It is, really. Like what Ling said, she was on a roll! Haha and on to the message, it was really cool because it felt like it tied a knot with what I was going through and yeah, talking about being wholly hearted, wholly obedient and wholly faithful. What Joyce said during cellgroup was true- it's easy to do the first 2 parts, but it's not always easy to be faithful. It's always easier to give up. Like what Pst. Phil Pringle from CCC Australia once said, "It takes no choice to go to fear. If you want weeds in your garden, do nothing. It takes no effort to grow weeds in your brain and in your emotions. But it takes great discipline to grow great tress." smack right at the target, huh? Great stuff.. and there was definitely something deposited today.. Sowing and reaping really is something..

*checking on the potatoes*

ok they're super hard right now. this is gonna be a while...

"If you don't love what you do, start to love what you do or else change what you're doing until you're doing what you love. If you're not having fun in life something's wrong. You're meant to love the Lord, which means you have fun with God."

how to save a life.

*Moments after blogging an entry*

Joyce always had nicer teeth (I'll miss you, CGL!)

This is a weird keyboard...

we should never try making sense of it

Freezing under the air-conditioning right now, though it's better than being outside under the scorching heat. I'm alone at home, with just my maid outside watching the tele and my sibling's out. The holidays are almost coming to it's close, though could you really call 2 weeks of homework-stuffing-til-you-just-want-to-scream, a holiday? Go figure. The times where we used to have absolutely nothing to do in the afternoons and yet still be able to skim through our exams in high school have definitely spoiled us. College is nothing like that. You'd be real crazy to do nothing in your whole day.

3 Accounting exercises,
1 900-word English essay and,
827465783 math exercises.

Mother of mine is leaving for Singapore tomorrow for a medical checkup- and to meet her old friends/classmates/neighbors from her hometown there. Apparently my great-aunt is actually older than my grandmother (she's 81 this year) in Miri, and is still working as a professional doctor! That's out of this world! Who says you need to retire? ;) I just found that really amazing, actually..

Gadong Chase tomorrow! :D
Des' finally is done with his exams tomorrow, as well as...

Juan's 19th birthday! Remember, Bollywood will be giving you calls soon. You'll be a star. hahaha cheers girl have a great one too yeah!

love, life, laughter

Left for Miri on Thursday night unexpectedly. My dad just asked me to accompany him and then accompany my grandmother who was there, and had a minor endoscopy-scan the following morning. Everything's alright she's perfectly fine. Mucho gracias for all those who kept her in prayer, and thank You most of all. :)

Came back in the afternoon, got to catch about half or 3/4 of the message. It was also the night where Uncle Peter's mother, or Rachel's grandmother had her 70th birthday celebration at Orchid Garden Hotel. It was a very cute event and many interesting performances were put on display ;) anyway not much more to say here, I've got a bad tummy now and I'll let the pictures speak for me on my behalf.

Time for work!

Over My Head.

Have been listening to this song on my LimeWire non-stop today. I was bored of the previous layout and actually this is from the presets on Blogger, but I revamped it by just a bit. Anyway, giong for voice and piano lessons soon, so I should get ready.

Tomorrow's Aunty Chin's birthday celebration.
What to wear, what to wear?
I have no shoes to match anything I would want to wear either. :(

SHOPPING SPREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

Please go visit Ohana9 and read the most disgusting post I have ever read for a long time! Beats the one I read about the wrist-piercing from Singapore. It's VERY COOL, CAN?

I'm using my old computer because the brother is hogging the laptop, and found a few old pictures. :D

Cellgroup bowling outing; 16th birthday. :)

we'll settle for the composure

My week hasn't really been eventful but all's okay. I discovered the webcam that was hiding in my room since I bought it two years ago and I've been having fun testing it out with the video call function on MSN. I had no idea I had a mic fixed to the laptop so, happy is the me. :D the video session was done earlier today- forgive us for our very messy 'grunge
' looks, it was quite early in the... Actually it wasn't early at all, we were just late worms.

Was at Jeff's place last night for a barbeque. I don't really get to go for barbeques alot - infact it's been a while since my last one. It was postponed since like half a month ago? And it was also their anniversary, and I still have no idea what 9 roses are supposed to mean. ;)
Anyway, had quite a lot to drink- for my first time in a looooong time. Bacardi + Sprite and many cups down my throat. It was alright at first- the taste is odd, actually it's the after-effect that got me to keep gulping down more. They taught me the game 007
or leng leng chat in cantonese and it's a very annoying game, I tell you! Absolute nonsense that night.

Went home early because of my throbbing head, and threw everything up. HAHAHA. Apparently according to my brother - I'm not supposed to have tea (which i did have) as a follow-up with the bacardi. It's something sour
that will be save me. Oooooh well. I wouldn't know, would i? :)

Didn't even touch anything on the barbeque because of all the 'fun'.

hahaha. fun night. soon again, aight? :D

muster every ounce of confidence i have

Yes the recital is over! I don't have to hear that piece play in my head all the time, anymore. I was really nervous yesterday right before the time I had to go up and Ryan had to calm me down and talk me through, asking me to not think about it... Once I got up on the stage and sat down on the chair, everything went alright! Funny though, he became really nervous while he was playing- totally opposite? :P

Went to have supper after that and yeah, that pretty much is what the recital was about. It wasn't really "recital-ish" because there were so many spectators - more like just a performance. Maybe my definition of recital is always formal and scary? Anyway, the night's over and now we can 'relax' again =) the holidays are here! I don't have that much homework, compared to the previous term holiday, but anyway... I gotta get some work done soon.

Service this evening! YAY! I'm so excited, I have no idea why.

boo.

One Life, One Love

Who am I
That You would know me from the start
Set me apart
Who am I
That You would place eternity
Into my heart

You have given to me
More than this world could give
My purpose is found In You

One life, I lay at Your altar
One love, I have with You
Touch me again
Fill me as You hold
My outstretched hands

One word, You know I will follow
One heart, broken to You
Use me again
Your mercies follow me
For all my days

In Your presence
In Your power
Holy Spirit
I surrender...

! BLABLA

Last week of school! :D Holidays coming, that's when the cash miraculously just disappears. I've got an accounting test tomorrow and the last day of school is on Saturday. Also there's the recital thing on that night, so many things to prepare. I just came across this site, You Parking Idiot and I find it funny and quite jobless. It's been raining again a lot recently. I was out of water for almost one week! O_O yeah this is just a random update, I have nothing to blog about actually but I want to fill this space up.

I thought that the picture of the cat was pretty cool, especially the little kitten. My sympathy goes out to a certain extent, but sorry lah I'm quite disgusting what. :)

Oh dear gosh! I just visited UU and found this: Mr. Men & Little Miss! I can't how old these cartoons were! I don't remember them being on tv, but I used to read them a lot, and some of them were quite disturbing. It was rather redundant actually, their stories, but nevertheless very entertaining. I remember getting them for my friends as birthday presents, and they're not very cheap anymore.

My personal favorite :)

I miss reading Asterix and Obelix.

WA, really random can. Okay hungry, time to eat soon. BYE!

cultural mandate

It's been a productive and busy break. It was a public holiday yesterday and somehow the schedule was more packed than ever... after swearing to stay at home and relax. I prefer that actually. I caught Pirates of the Carribean 3: At World's End on a Wednesday afternoon at The Empire (classy ey?). I did the most unpardonable sin though: watching it without watching the first two; yeah I was quite blur in the movie but hands down, it must've been the best movie I've watched this year. Most of the movies I've watched were superb but this was fantastic. After 2hours and 45minutes of sitting down in the cold of the cinema theater, I went to The Mall and watched the Sneak Peak of Shrek the Third. (I always thought that 'sneak peaks' were like the longer version of a trailer, but it's not. It's the day before the actual premier.) It was just alright, not great, but I watched it again the next day in the afternoon with another group of people. Wowee!

There's a piano recital coming up soon. So ya'll Mall-ers will be seeing a piano right smack in the middle of the Mall after the entrance sometime next week. Hurray. I have to rush through this classical piece and the second movement's not even memorized yet. Help! I've got to get this done and soon.

A bunch of us were at Des' place last night, having yum-yum and watching the Emerge 2007 conference LIVE via satellite. It was brilliant. We got to see the Parade of Schools and they have this thing called a clap-o-meter, by which the schools' performances are judged by the loudness of the claps and cheers from the audience. It was so funny because we, in front of the television screen, got carried away and cheered non-stop as well. :D It was weird because the past days I've been in front of the screens watching these heroic people either sacrifice and lay down their lives for the sake of destiny but they are just movies; I see what's real in front of my eyes, people of all ages and sizes and cultures of different kinds.. reaching out to a God who exists, a God who came in His humanity to be able to relate to us and engage us.

Sidney Mohede from Jakarta Praise Community Church was there, he was leading worship and he sung the song "Mengenal-Mu" and Annabel (I think) sang it in Chinese and I was like woah :O I saw Angie, Ling, Jeremy and Joyce as well! They must've had a blast... and for another three days to come. Ling's tummy looks really 'bumptastic' on the tele, more than it does in real life! :P

This picture is of a cat that got smashed up really bad. I saw it while I was walking in Kiulap and the reason why it has the negative effect is because I was playing around with the camera and forgot to change it. I guess it's a good thing 'cause it was pure disgust. Had to take a picture of it though. It's insides actually burst out and were splattered everywhere.

The little thing you see there, no that's not the cat you just saw just now, but up-close it's actually the fetus of the cat. Yes, it was pregnant while getting smashed up :O sorry I had to show such gruesome pictures, but it's cool... right? HAHAHAHA so evil can.
